My name is Persiana Pastuhova, nice to e-meet you!
From high school and university…
My passion for languages was ignited at high school when I first started reading fiction in original. The pleasure of seeing and understanding foreign worlds along with the freedom to express my thoughts in different languages had conquered me by my last year at school. Thus, my path to the university was easily and firmly outlined. I graduated St. St. Cyril and Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo in 2008 as a bachelor of Applied Linguistics (with English and Russian). Then, a year later I had my MA in Conference Interpreting (with English) at the same university.
… to freelancing
My career as a freelancer started when I was a junior at the university, and continues ever since. Although I am a translator by vocation, I still believe that mastering one’s native language to perfection is the key to consistent translations. That is why it is my common practice to return translation along with edited source files to clients, should this be needed. Nothing personal and no offence! I strongly believe that words and messages should always bring pleasure to both eyes and mind.
